School Closure

COVID-19 Update

Cornerstone Montessori School

COVID-19 Update as of 04.27.2020

As always, the health and safety of our community is of the utmost importance to us. After careful consideration, we have decided it is not feasible for our School to open our physical campus for the remainder of our School Year--May 22nd.  Please know that we care deeply about you and your precious children. We are so grateful for the opportunity to continue to connect via our distance learning program. We remain committed to our mission to be sure the children of Cornerstone are engaged in purposeful work during this uncertain time.  We are actively working on a hopeful go-forward plan regarding Summer Camp 2020 and beyond.

Please visit our website and check your email regularly for all updates from us. Voicemail and emails will be checked regularly throughout this time.

School Closure due to Weather or Emergency

Cornerstone Montessori School's policy on closures due to inclement weather is that if all Jefferson County Public Schools are closed, Cornerstone Montessori School will also be closed. Our school closures will be announced on KCNC CBS-Denver Channel 4 and on KOA 85 AM/94.1 FM Radio. The School's telephone voice message will also be updated to inform families of the status of Cornerstone's closures.

In Spring 2019, Jefferson County implemented their new 2-hour delay schedule. On days when they activate their delay, Cornerstone will be open as usual. We encourage you to do what is best for your family on these days and will be very flexible with late arrivals. If you choose not to have your child at school please notify the office at (303)277-0245.
